Sonata Contest Results

I am so PROUD of the students that participated in the Sonata Contest! This is the most competitive competition in San Diego!

Bailey Luk- level 1B- received Honorable Mention rating

Lily Nilipour- level 5A- received Honorable Mention rating

Alina Luk-level 5A- received Honorable Mention rating

Matthew Gauthier-level 3A- received Superior rating, made it to Finals and received 4th place.

I will have your ribbons, certificates, and judges comment sheets for you at your next lesson. Once again GREAT JOB!

 

December Piano Reminders

Students and Parents!

I am so proud of how well everyone did at the Christmas Recital this weekend! Thank you for your participation and hard work! I would love to post pictures on the website. Please email me any pictures you have from the recital.

Sonata Contest: Just a reminder that the Sonata Contest is this Saturday, Dec. 11. If you have entered this competition you should have recieved a detailed email from me last week that contains all the information you need.

Christmas Break: Piano Christmas Break is December 24th-31st, 2010. There will be no lessons on those days.

Thanksgiving Break

Parents and Students!

Just a reminder that our Piano Thanksgiving Break is next week.

 NO Piano Lessons November 22nd-27th, 2010. Enjoy the time with your families!

Please remember to continue practicing your Christmas Recital music. It needs to be memorized and at performance level for your next lesson.

Christmas Piano Recital Info

Date: December 4th, 2010 @ 4:00pm

Location: Point Loma Nazarene University, Cooper Music Building, Choral Room #115

3900 Lomaland Dr. San Diego, CA 92106

Parking: You can park anywhere on campus, the best place is the main parking structure

Dress: Dress up nicely for this Recital!

Bring: A Christmas dessert or appetizer  to share at the Reception afterwards

November Reminders

Students and Parents!

Here are some things to keep in mind for NOVEMBER:

* NOVEMBER TUITION  is due at your next lesson

* In November we will be focusing on cleaning up, perfecting, and memorizing the RECITAL MUSIC (along with the regular piano curriculum)

*CHRISTMAS PIANO RECITAL  is on December 4th, 2010 @ PLNU @4:00.

*If you are signed up for the SONATA CONTEST on Dec. 11, I need to send in your fees. Please add $25 Sonata Contest fee (per student) into your November Tuition.

CHRISTMAS RECITAL 2010:

December 4, 2010 @ 4:00pm

LOCATION: Point Loma Nazarene University

*all students are required to participate

Certificate of Merit 2011

Piano evaluations and theory exams will be held @

San Diego State University
March 5, 12 and 13, 2011

Each student will be assigned a specific time on one of those dates for their piano evaluation in front of an adjudicator. For now you must keep all 3 of those dates open.

Registration Deadline: November 15th, the teacher fills out online application

Sonata Contest

For those of you signed up to do the Sonata Contest…..

SONATA CONTEST 2010

Date: December 11, 2010 Location: San Diego State University Application deadline: November 17, 2010 (online application the teacher fills out) Fee: $25 (due with your November Tuition to the teacher) Each student will be given a specific time to play in the preliminary round in front of an adjudicator. The Final round will be held later that same day in the concert halls @ SDSU. Below are the lists for each level: Sonata Contest level 1a-4b Sonata Contest 5a-11
